Why stress about Maths when they could be feeling confident, relaxed & achieving their potential?😎

Does this sound familiar?

"We know they have the potential but it's frustrating to see them getting grades that are lower than what they should be getting"

"They struggle to have the confidence to tackle questions alone and they're like a deer in headlights when trying to revise"

"They're not connecting with their teacher and it's really affecting their motivation and test grades"

"Their grades just aren't improving, we don't know what to do to help. It's causing us a lot of stress at home"

Here's what this really costs your family

😰

Homework battles that stress everyone out

πŸ˜”

Watching their confidence slowly disappear

πŸšͺ

Worrying they'll miss out on the courses they want

😞

The guilt of not knowing how to help

There's a gentler way forward

From my 11 years in the classroom, I’ve come to realise that the most important factor for a child’s success is how much they enjoy the lessons, and how connected they feel to their teacher/tutor.

As educators, we should be making sure that each and every lesson builds excitement for the subject and celebrates the progress the child makes in each lesson.

The result for your family? A child who feels seen and heard, who has regained some of their confidence and who is excited to put their minds to work so they can really make the most progress possible.

My tutoring framework – Enjoy. Engage. Excel.

Most students don't struggle with maths because they can't do it β€” they struggle because they believe they can't. This framework is all about building confidence, helping students feel involved, and setting them up to thrive.

😊 Enjoy

  • Lessons are calm, warm and built on trust
  • Rapport is built by sharing interests and showing students they're seen and heard
  • We talk openly about worries so students see that struggling is normal and doesn't mean they're "bad" at maths
  • We get excited about the fun there is to be had in learning maths

🎯 Engage

  • An interactive whiteboard where students write their answers live, solve problems with me, and have their own board for homework and extra tasks
  • Lessons are active β€” students are always solving, thinking, or explaining
  • Thoughtful questions to make sure everyone is involved in a way that suits their confidence level

πŸš€ Excel

  • Low-stakes mini-assessments used to track progress and make learning stick
  • Every lesson is uniquely planned to close gaps to dramatically improve progress
  • Plus students get personalised video or voice note feedback on every homework
